Getting to and from school safely
Catching a bus
There is a designated bus zone at the side of the school on Trahlee Road. Please exercise care around buses and not cross the road with your child in this area.

Parking near the school
Around our school we have wide and busy streets. Please ensure you park close to the kerb and avoid parking across residential driveways or double parking. Only park in legitimate on-street parking.
When walking with your child, please scan driveways for vehicles.
Pedestrians
There are 2 pedestrian access gates for Londonderry Public School.
The main gate is at the front of the school on Londonderry Road and another near the bus stop on Trahlee Road.
The pedestrian crossing is on Londonderry Road leading towards the front gate. The Londonderry Road pedestrian crossing has a crossing supervisor from 8:30am – 9:30 am and 2:30pm – 3:30 pm.
All gates are locked during school hours from 9:15 am - 2:50 pm.
Bicycle and Scooter Safety
All students must walk their bike or scooter within school grounds. The bicycle must be wheeled to the bicycle rack where it should be chained and padlocked. Scooters must be stored in classrooms during the day.
All students riding bicycles or scooters to and from school must wear a helmet.
Staff Car Park
The school car park is not available for parent use without prior arrangement with the Principal.
Driving and parking
The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.
When driving and parking near our school, please:
- ensure you park safely in school zones
- follow speed signs
- do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school
